Thermal Crochet Stitch

The Thermal Crochet Stitch creates a thick, durable fabric, making it perfect for potholders, hot pads, and cozy blankets. This stitch has a unique texture with extra warmth and strength.

Stitch Instructions

Foundation Chain: Any number of chains.

Row 1: Work 1 SC into the 2nd chain from the hook and each chain across. CH 1 and turn.

Row 2: Insert your hook into the back loop of the stitch from the previous row and the unworked loop from the foundation chain. YO, pull up a loop, YO and pull through both loops on the hook (1 SC made). Repeat across the row. CH 1 and turn.

Repeat Row 2: Continue working into the back loop of the stitch from the previous row and the corresponding unworked loop from two rows below, creating a thick thermal texture. Repeat until the desired length is reached.
