Side Saddle Crochet Stitch

Stitch Instructions

Foundation Chain: Multiple of 6 + 2.

Row 1: Work 1 SC in the 2nd chain from the hook and in each chain across. CH 1 and turn.

Row 2: Work 1 SC in the first stitch. *Skip 2 stitches, work 5 DC in the next stitch (shell), skip 2 stitches, work 1 SC in the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * across the row. End with 1 SC in the last stitch. CH 3 and turn.

Row 3: Work 2 DC in the first SC. *Work 1 SC in the center DC of the next shell, work 5 DC in the next SC.* Repeat from * to * across the row, ending with 3 DC in the last SC. CH 1 and turn.

Row 4: Work 1 SC in the first DC. *Work 5 DC in the next SC, work 1 SC in the center DC of the next shell.* Repeat from * to * across the row, ending with 1 SC in the top of the turning chain. CH 3 and turn.

Repeat Rows 3 and 4: Continue alternating rows for the desired length.
