Seed Crochet Stitch

The Seed Crochet Stitch, also known as the moss or linen stitch, is a simple and elegant pattern. It creates a woven texture that works well for blankets, scarves, and other cozy projects.

Instructions

  1. Foundation Row: Chain an even number of stitches.
  2. Row 1:
    • Work 1 single crochet (SC) into the 2nd chain from the hook.
    • Chain 1, skip the next chain, and work 1 SC into the following chain.
    • Repeat: *Chain 1, skip 1 chain, SC in the next chain* across the row. Chain 1 and turn.
  3. Row 2:
    • Work 1 SC into the first chain-1 space from the previous row.
    • Chain 1, skip the next SC, and work 1 SC into the following chain-1 space.
    • Repeat: *Chain 1, skip 1 SC, SC in the next chain-1 space* across the row. Chain 1 and turn.
  4. Repeat: Repeat Row 2 for the desired length.
