Instructions U.S. Terminology

  1. Foundation Row: Chain a multiple of 6 + 1.
  2. Row 1: Starting in the second chain from the hook, work 1 SC in each chain across. Chain 3 and turn. (The chain 3 counts as the first DC.)
  3. Row 2: *Skip 2 stitches, work 1 DC in the next stitch. Chain 1, work 1 DC in the same stitch (V-stitch made).* Repeat from * across the row. Chain 3 and turn.
  4. Row 3: *Work 5 DC around the post of the first DC of the V-stitch from the previous row. Rotate your work slightly, work 5 DC around the post of the second DC of the same V-stitch. Skip to the next V-stitch.* Repeat from * across the row. Chain 1 and turn.
  5. Repeat: Repeat rows 2-3 until the length you want is achieved.
