Instructions U.S. Terminology

  1. Foundation Row: chain a multiple of 4 + 4.
  2. Row 1: (WS): dc in third ch from hook (skipped 2-ch does not count as a st), dc in each st across. Turn.
  3. Row 2: (RS): 2 ch (does not count as st here or throughout), dc in first st, *skip 2 sts, FPtr around next 2 sts, FPtr around first skipped st, FPtr around second skipped st, rep from * until 1 st rem, dc in last st. Turn
  4. Row 3: 2 ch, dc in first st, BPtr around next 2 sts, *skip 2 sts, BPtr around next 2 sts, BPtr around first skipped st, BPtr around second skipped st, rep from * until 3 sts rem, BPtr around next 2 sts, dc in last st. Turn.
  5. Repeat: Rep Rows 2-3 until length required is achieved.
  6. Final Row 1 ch (does not count as a st), hdc in each st across.
