Instructions U.S. Terminology
- Foundation Row: Chain a multiple of 2 chains + 2
- Row 1: In the second chain from your hook make a sc, continue with sc to the end of the row, ch 1, turn
- Row 2: Ch 1, Chain does not count as a stitch, so you will start working in the very first stitch. make a sc in the first st, sc to the end of the row, change colour, ch 1, turn.
- Row 3: Turn your work around. You will start working in the very first stitch. So, make a scin the first stitch. sc to the end of the row. ch 1, turn.
- Row 3: Make a sc in the very first stitch. Continue with sc to the end of the row, ch 1 , turn.
- Row 4: For row 5 you have to change yarn color again. So, bring your first color yarn up, ch 1 and pull the end of the second color yarn. The first color yarn is ready to use.
- Row 5: Make a sc in the very first stitch. Make another sc in the next stitch. Now you will have to make a spike stitch working three rows below (row 2). So, insert your hook in the next stitch three rows below, yo, Pull the yarn through. Now you have two loops on your hook. Make sure to make a tall loop. yo, pull the yarn through both loops. Then make three sc in the next three stitches. Next you will make another spike stitch working three rows below in the next st, then make three sc in the next three stitches. Make a spike stitch in the next stitch. continue in this way to the end of the row, make 2 sc in the last 2 st's. ch 1, turn.
- Row 6: Make a single crochet in the very first stitch, continue with sc to the end of the row. change colour, ch 1, turn.
- Row 7: Make a single crochet in the very first stitch, continue with sc to the end of the row, ch 1, turn.
- Row 8: Make a single crochet in the very first stitch, continue with sc to the end of the row, change colour, ch 1, turn.
- Row 9: Now you will have to make a spike stitch in the very first stitch three rows below (row 6). Make three sc in the next three stitches, make a spike stitch in the next stitch, make three sc in the next three stitches, make a spike stitch in the next stitch. Continue working in the same way until the end of the row, at the end of the row make a spike stitch in the last stitch, ch 1, turn.
- Row 10: Make a single crochet in the first stitch, continue with sc to the end of the row, ch 1, turn.
- Repeat: Rep Rows 3-10 until length required is achieved.
