Instructions U.S. Terminology
- Foundation Row: Chain amultiple of 10 + 2 Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from the hook, sk four stitches and make a dc, make four more dc's in the same stitch, ch 1, make five more dc's in the same stitch, sk four stitches and make a sc. Sk four stitches and make five dc's, ch 1, and make five more dc's in the same stitch. Skip four stitches and make a sc, keep working in the same way until the end of the row. (Your row should end with a sc). Then ch 1.
- Row 2: Turn your work around. You will work in the first stitch, make a sc in the first stitch, next you will have to make front post single crochets (fpsc). Insert your hook bringing the post of the first dc in the previous row to the front, pull the yarn through, you have two loops on your hook, yarn over and pull the yarn through both loops on your hook. (You have just made a front post single crochet). Make four more fpsc in the next four stitches. Ch 1, make five fpsc in the next five stitches, make a fpsc in the sc of the previous row. For the rest of the row work in the same way: make five fpsc, ch 1, make five fpsc and then make fpsc in the sc of the previous row. At the end of the row make one sc in the last stitch.
- Row 3: Turn,(If changing colour) Change color, ch 1 with the new colour. Ch4, Make a dc in the first stitch, ch 3, make a sc in the ch 1 space of the previous row (the one that is between fpsc). Then ch 3, sk 5 stitches and make a dc in the fpsc of the previous row. ch 2, then make the second dc in the same stitch. For the rest of the row work in the same way: ch 3, make a sc in the ch 1 space of the previous row, ch 3, sk 5 stitches, make a dc in the fpsc of the previous row, ch 2 and make a dc in the same stitch. In the end of the row, make a dc in the last stitch and ch 1.Then make the second dc in the same stitch. Ch 1 and turn your work around.
- Row 4: Make a sc in the first stitch. Ch 1, make a sc in the second dc in the previous row, ch3, make a sc in the sc of the previous row, ch3, make a sc in the first dc in the previous row, make a sc in the second dc in the previous row Work in the same way until the end of the row, make a sc in the dc in the previous row and ch 1, make a sc in the third chain of the turning chain in the previous row. ch 4, turn

Make a fpsc in the sc in the previous row, make five fpsc in five dc's in the previous row, ch 1, make five fpsc in the next five dc's in the previous row and one fpsc in the sc of the previous row. Work in the same way until the end of the row. In the end of the row make five fpsc in five dc's in the previous row, ch 1 and make a sc in the last stitch.
- Row 7: (If changing colour, change here). Ch 1, Turn your work around and make a sc in the first stitch, ch 3, make a dc in the fpsc of the previous row, ch 2 and make one more dc in the same stitch, ch 3, make a sc in the ch 1 space of the previous row, Work in the same way until the end of the row. In the end of the row make a sc in the last stitch. Then ch 1.
- Row 8: sc in the first stitch, Then ch 3 and make a sc in the first dc of the previous row, Ch 2 and make a sc in the second dc of the previous row, then ch 3 and make a sc in the sc of the previous row, Work in the same way until the end of the row. The row should end with a sc in the last stitch. ch 1, turn.
- Row 9: Insert your hook in the space between ch f4 and a dc four rows below (in row 5). Complete making a sc, make five dc's in the ch 2 space between two dc's in row 7, ch 1 and make five more dc's in the same ch 2 space. Make a sc in the ch 1 space between the dc's in row 5, Keep working in the same way until the end of the row. In the end of the row make a sc in the ch 1 space between dc's in row 5.
- Repeat: Rep Rows 2-9 until length required is achieved.
